Daisy sounds so cute, in a devilish kind of way! I bet she gets away with it, I can't believe how tiny she is, especially compared to a mini australian shepherd... its great that Daisy isn't afraid of Sage, I know it took Alfie a long time to warm up to bigger dogs, but who can blame him. He's played with an australian shepherd at the dog park, a spaniel and black lab mix, and a shih tzu/cairn mix he's absolutely in love with. Its great, because there is a small dog park adjacent to the big dog park, so Alfie feels safe- its sad though because he's usually the only dog in the small dog park, and he likes to watch the dogs play other park and barks at them to come up so he can sniff them through the fence! Before he didn't know how to play with dogs, but having seen other dogs play, he understands now. Its cute, because he tries to be the dominate one, and he likes to pin other small dogs to the ground... he likes to think he's the boss.
I love talking about chis, I think they are so unique, and really smart. I love hearing other people's experience with their dogs, because I'm a first time chi owner and the stuff they do is so surprising. Sometimes, if Alfie comes across something in the apartment he's not familiar with, he'll stare at it, and growl! hahahah its really funny, especially if its a piece of plastic bag on the floor or paper towel on the couch! There isn't anyone I know that owns a chi, that is why I love the chiclub forum, its great for people who could just talk and talk and talk about their chi. I've definetly caught the chi bug, and I can't wait to get another chi, perhaps in May after graduation! |
Wow 4lbs, thats a good weight! She is really cute, and I bet she could get away with murder
I know that Alfie gets away with a lot, but I'm trying to stop his bad habit, but he gives me this really cute look and I cave! Alfie loved to play with peoples hair, and all of my friends and relatives indulged him... so when he and I would lay down, he'd be up near my head eating my hair. He's curbed his appetit for hair, but he has other habits that I find funny. Whenever anyone is in the kitchen, he's right behind them hoping for crumbs. I haven't needed to sweep since I got the little guy, he's my hoover! He also likes to steal socks, bras, undies, you name it he wants it. He also loves to lick peoples ears (my bf's especially), noses, bellybuttons, feet... etc. I've also caught him chewing on the strangest stuff- he especially loves paper. He loves playing with dead bugs, just throwing them in the air, and pouncing on them, its so cute
