Hi, this will be short. Car accident, not my fault. My Saturn 3 door coupe is totalled. Airbags deployed, car caught on fire. Was semi conscious, bruised face, fractured wrist (one handed typing, in a cast), banged up knee the size of a canteloupe. Whiplash. Out of work. Lots of bruises and pain. Pain meds helping.
Will be missing you all. Will lurk when I can and post when the wrist is out of the cast.
Cookie & Brownie have been angels, comforting me with Zachary. He was not in the car when the lady slammed into me.
My life sucks ...recovered from the staircase fall, and now, this!

I feel for you, you have had some bad luck lately but im sure its only going to get better for you. Im a firm believer in what goes around comes around and I know that you are an amazing person so there is a huge amount of good things coming your way.

So sorry to hear about your accident Zoe,but glad to hear your going to be alright, wont they let you come back to work after you recover? If they dont then thats a very unfair place to work.

Oh my gosh Zoe!!! I can't believe this! It often seems like one thing bad happens after another and this sucks after all the things that have been going on with you lately!!! But I know that you are an incredible person and that you will overcome this as well and in the end, be stronger for it! Not saying it doesn't suck completely, just that you are an amazingly strong woman who I know will come out of this shining! Heal all you can and enjoy your babies' (both human and dog) company! Come on lurk out all you want, and even posting one letter (like a "B" for example, hehehe) will let us know that you are still here and doing okay. Oh Zoe... That's horrible! First the mean old staircase, and now some stupid lady hit your car! I'm so glad that your still alive! Sorry to hear that you were injured so badly! Hope that lady has insurance and you will be
compensated for your car and injuries!

Get Well Soon! It sounds like you're one lucky puppy Zoe, considering a fire. :cry: Despite all the injuries you received, I thank God you're as fine as you are. Roman says to paint one little paw print on your cast from him, so you will remember him while you're recuoping. It will give you a more speedy recovery if you do this and an even faster one if you add another one for Sheba. (just a little bigger) :) Sheba is good at slipping a butter knife down inside the cast to itch all those scratches, so let me know; I can put her on the next plane to come be your nurse! Nurse Sheba to the rescue! 8) Roman will come and wash your hair for you and massage your neck and comb your hair for you. I hope you get a new car soon and also one you want. let me know if I can do anything for you across the miles, Love Barb

Just got back from one of those urgent care places. Shoulder and back xrays were done, since the hospital only did right wrist and right knee xrays on Friday. Whiplash, and back pain, argggggg (where is that Pirate emoticon when I need him to express my frustration?) :twisted:
I have a good, powerful attorney fighting to get me a rental car. The guilty party, the other driver, has not even contacted her insurance agent to report the accident. We ironically have the same insurance co. so it will be X versus X.
I don't know the outcome. My medical bills are becomming huge, but I hope since my lawyer is competent, she will have to pay them. I also owed on the balance of the car that I had. :roll:

It's completely totalled. I saw it. I felt queasy. It looks scary. The cop said I am lucky to be alive, that the airbag saved my life. I am not sleeping well, and am writhing in pain, but taking Naproxin and Tramadol.

Meds from the urgent care place also. Will go there tomorrow for more therapy and the outcome of the xrays. My friend Barbara brought me a coffee and took me there today. What a g-dsend, since taxis here are outrageously high.

Zach and C&B are taking good care of me. They are awesome companions. My neighbor is taking Zach to school and from, every day with her children, so I am fortunate he is able to get there while I am stranded.

I miss ya'll and will post more later. Pain meds are kicking in now. Yay! 8)

oh Zoe...i hope everything works out for you...the way people drive these days makes me not want to drive...they just don't care anymore...i was rear ended back in 2001 6 days after i got my beand new 2001 honda civic no mileage off the lot and the lady hit me doing 40mph...she did 6 thousand dollars worth of damage to my car and i have had a bad back ever since but never sued her...my bad cause i regret it now...i hope you feel better soon let us know if theres anything we can do to help you :wub:
