Okay, so I have to brag and say that I really think that Heuser is the smartest chihuahua ever and if any of you met him, you would think that too!

Besides his 20+ commands that he knows and responds to immediately 99% of the time, he is constantly "learning" new tricks and teaching me!

His latest is SO cute!!! On walks, if he needs to stay by me all I say is "Stay Near" and to release him when the coast is clear, I say "GO!" and he takes off! Well, at the office on Monday, I started teaching him a new way and he totally gets it and added some flair without me even teaching him. So here is is:

No matter where we are, I call him to my side and get his attention by saying his name. Once he looks at me I say "Ready?" "Set..." (and he gives a spin!) and then "GO!" and he TAKES OFF with his little butt tucked under in a puppy play scoot! It is HILARIOUS and he had my WHOLE office out of their offices/cubicles watching him show off his latest trick on Thursday!!! At first everyone said it was just because he was headed to the door to go home, but he proved them wrong by doing it both up and down the hall 4 times!!! He is SUCH a HAM!!!

Everyone that meets him falls in love, I wish you guys could all meet him in person too-I sound like I'm bragging but I'm not! Tally is a sweet girl who loves everyone but Heuser has that something special that just draws you to him-he's like that kid in school that everyone liked and the life of the party, Mr. Charisma!

HA! I couldn't resist, he really is smarter than ANY dog I have ever had (including a Poodle mix, a Chow chow, an Aussie, a Siberarian Husky, a Lab, and a German Shepherd!)

Heuser sounds so cute doing that. He's a smart boy. I love that butt-tuck running they do. lol Roman really gets going with that after his bath. Elle doesn't do it as much so when she does, it's hilarious.

I can't get Elle to walk next to me yet--she lags to the point I almost have to drag her; I end up carrying her some. Roman will heel sometimes, but pulls ahead. Sheba heels, but is slow, so I keep her and Elle in one hand so Roman doesn't yank them all over the place. LOL When I take Elle outside, she acts like she can't walk. lol I don't think she likes to be off of carpet. I'm working with her and this week while we were RVing, she got more practice in and started getting better.
Now what I'd like to accomplish with my 3 is to get them to all heel on the left all the time. Once in a while they will, so I know they know how, but it's much more fun for them to tangle me up in 3 leashes and then laugh at me. :) I know I should carry food snacks for them.

o barb isnt it the greatest when you are all tangled upand you look like the biggest idiot trying to get out of the tangles as everyone stares and then you just get out of it and the wrap around you again oh the good times lol

Oh Lys,
Heuser does sound like he's putting on quite a show for the office! I wish I could see him do that I bet it's hysterical! I know when my babies go flying thru the house it's quite a show.

Barb.. Hummie is just like Elle on the walking. He would rather ride in his snuggly pouch than walk on the leash.

I put Chloe on a leash last week, and she looked at me as if I had lost all good sense! Then she promptly layed down and began to eat grass.

She and Lucy rip and tear all over the house, but I think the "great outdoors" is still a bit intimidating. (She would MUCH rather ride in the comfort of her Italian Leather carrier, lazily watching the world go by...much like Cleopatra, Queen of the Nile!)

She does the little puppy butt scoot, too - it just slays me!
