Diestrus Day 2!

Tally has come out of estrus or the "standing heat" part of her cycle. She is no longer "flagging" her tail or allowing Heuser to sniff or even approach her. We're not sure if we bred her at the right time or not in order to catch her ovulation day, but one of the ways to count until her due date is to take the first or second day of Diestrus (the cells change) and add 57 days. If she is pregnant, that puts her due date right around March 2nd!

Isn't there like a pee pee pregnancy test to see if Tally is pregnant?

There is a test but it is most reliable after 31 days and the vet should be able to palpate her or ultrasound her way before then (around 21-26 days). Until then, we'll keep hoping her nipples turn pink (a sign of prenancy) and not swollen (a sign of false pregnancy)!

Oh Goodness this will be a long wait. I think I'd be looking at her little nipples all the time to see if they were pink yet!
