Shopping with Chihuahua's

Do any of you take your pups shopping?

We can take Casey to places like the fabric store or scrapbooking and to some of the funkier stores in our downtown area.
We were in a shoe store on Saturday night - a kind of warehouse that was like 'if you find your size - lucky you - and if you don't I'm going to tell you what we have is what you see'

Well the clerks fell for Casey and guess what they have in the back!!!
Many different sizes of the very coveted leather shoes!!!!!
Casey was wearing her pink sweater and a scarf and tucked safely in her 'bag' blanket thingy and getting so much attention it was almost embarassing.
I even managed to attract the attention of the opposite sex in Virgin Records thanks to Casey in the bag! Mind you he was not my type even if I were available it's still worthy of a mention since those days are fading fast!

[Hercules Momma]

I used to take Hercules with me all the time. A few stores said, NO.. but last year when we went to Florida for Spring Break we were welcomed at all the stores with open arms. Several of them even had little treats for Hercules and one offered him some water to drink. I was really surprised cause it was a very 'fancy' shopping district, but I guess they have lots of women bringing their babies with them.
Now that I have two, it's harder to hide one in a purse. But I love taking them places with me and they love going 'bye-bye'

I know I'd be in love with Casey or other pups from CC if I saw them in a store. I can only imagine how cute she looked wearing that and in her bag. :wub: What a good idea to get sales help where it normally doesn't exist. lol

Guys of any age really go for Roman. Even teen boys who didn't look like the smiling type light up.

I went up to a couple at a street festival who had a Chi pup. It was before we got Roman. Of course the first thing out of my mouth was, "Aww, is that a Chihuahua?" :-? I knew it was too, just slipped out when I saw the puppy. The chi dad wanted to talk and was glad to show off his new baby. I feel that's why when I hear "Is that a Chi?" with Roman, I know they really know, or they are happy they guessed correctly. It's more of a conversation starter.

I've only taken Roman in cell phone store and the pet store. The lady welcomed him into the phone store, but a customer with a baby was giving harsh looks the entire time. It made me uncomfortable. And the pet store...I was mobbed by customers, their Children and staff. The parents had a million questions about Chihuahuas.
