I'm sure some of you will remember
that Heuser and Tally have a Bichon Frise
cousin named Monk. Well, apparently my
sister and her husband decided to get
another bichon and contacted a local
rescue group (she knew I would kill her
if she got another the way she got
Monk-from a commercial
kennel/ broker). The dog they
were interested in was already
adopted but the rescue invited
them to come and meet with them
in order to be placed on their
waiting list for other bichons.
So Beth, Brian, and Monk went
to the facility and while
there, came across a little toy
poodle mix that reminded my
sister of our dog Muffin who
we grew up with and lived
to 21 years old...I guess it was
love at first site and they brought
her home with them! So here's
Monk and newly-named
Billie (for Billy Holiday)! She's
about 6 pounds and 10" long.
They are guessing she is
5 years old and seems very sweet
and friendly to both people and
other dogs...Sorry if the pic is
huge, maybe Barb or Aric can resize
it for me if it is? Thanks!

Lys, They are both so very cute. Wow, a 6 pound Bichon f. She is so cute. So is Monk.

Our friends in Washington State have a white Bichon F. ...looks just like Monk! :) But this one we know, named Bichon (such an original name, lol) has quite an attitude, unlike all the other ones I've known. He will let me and Terry pet him, but only on when he determines it's time. Actually, all we have to do is ignore him, and he's right there for us to pet him. haha smart little dog. LOL His brother is a Dobie, and Bichon rules the roost! :w00t:

AWWW, poor little Billie looks unsure of herself. I'm sure in a few weeks she will be much more at home and happy. She is so lucky to have Monk right there beside her to show her the ropes. Their contrasting coat colors look so pretty together. What a blessing for her and her new family.
