Hi Aric!

Just has a quick question (hopefully) about my avatar and stuff. I don't normally see people's avatar's and signatures and added graphics come up as links, but just now while reading a thread, I SAW Roman's Mom's avatar and also Mypepsee's AND graphics!!! But then I clicked the "back" button and now its all gone!!! What the heck? Help!

Okay, so I think I atleast figured out when I can see images and when I can't...When I first pull up the CC mainpage, I can go into all the discussions and see graphics, pictures, etc. But when I sign-in to post a thread or reply to one, it all goes away! Even the Avatars!!! BooHoo! What's going on?

Images aren't exactly images here, they're stored in a database in a different way.. I'm curious to know what's going on as well :)

ps-One thing that's been changing is how I am directed to site. Some times I am put directly into the mainpage of topics and others I am asked to sign in. I alway sign out so I know its not that...

I just noticed that I also can get directly into the Member's Only part of the website without doing a password!!! What is going on?

Lys, mine does a lot of this also. I have NEVER seen avitars though and also cannot use the little emoticons like some people do. Hum? No idea.

I'm having the same problem with using emoticons.. it's been very difficult, so my posts are dull looking without all the little extras.

Make sure that you have the right options checked off in your User CP. You have to tell the program to let you see avatars and images etc.

Go into User CP and then Edit Options and then Thread Options and make sure you have See Avatars, See Images etc. checked so you can see them.

I've switched the avatars from dynamic database driven, to the filesystem.. that should fix that problem.

As for Members Only, I will be changing the way that forum works also to guarantee only authorized users can get in :)

Okay, Matt says its Internet 6.0 whatever that means, lol! I got it figured out though, thanks to Two Chiwawa!!! I can see the avatar's and stuff since I went under User CP! Cool, thanks for the help!

LOL I know...LOL I always log out of everything. :)

But I have lost the ability to do things more and more. I can't use eBay for more than two clicks. That's gone on the longest. Mozilla can't be found within the past few days. I haven't been able to play Powerball (shows the screen, but not a ball) or Fishy(just once in a blue moon), now mini Golf and the Jewels game all freeze up my computer everytime. It better not hit the Mah Jong or Club Chihuahua, or I shall surely die! :evil: hahaha Oops...just hit me with the kickUps game here. It's happened with the same games another place.

I have turned off Zone Alarm firewall, used IECacheCleaner...didn't help a bit. I think it's off to the computer doctor for me, but so far, no one knows what to do about it, or suggestions all to no avail. :neutral:

I have ad aware and spybot. Maybe I should uninstall them too if they could cause the problem.

:clap: My doctor gave me the name and number of his private "computer guy" today since he thinks no one should not be able to acess eBay. LOL So I can't wait to get all this straightened out once and for all. FINALLY got Mozilla running again, and it's fixed every computer problem for me, games, eBay, the works!! :D Zone Alarm seemed to be messing with it.

Hey Lys, Renata, and Mandi, re: smilies Maybe you've already tried this.

While in "Post reply" mode, scroll down a little to "additional options" and in "misc. options", and make sure the "disable smilies in text" option is NOT checked.
Then hit "submit" post when you're ready to.
