Puppy pied on me!

This happened about a month or so ago. My Paco jumped up on my lap on the sofa and pied on my lap. Why would he do that? Has that ever happened to you? Is it becasue he is still a puppy?

My Chi's have never done this. Perhaps Paco was nervous about something, good or bad? That's all I can think of why he did that. Or maybe he was so glad to see you, he didn't want to take the time to go potty. If he does if again, work with him by taking him to his potty spot a little more often--before he sits on your lap. And I'm not sure if a medical condition could cause this. :D

HA! Tally has done that to me too! It actually just happend yesterday as a matter of fact. I didn't let her out immediately when I woke up and when I called her over to me to wipe her eyes before leaving for work, she came up on my lap and submissive peed-unfortunately, since she hadn't been out yet, she went a little more than normal! Yuck. That's what happend before too-she was waiting to go outside and I grabbed her and must have squeezed in the wrong spot because she wetted all the way down my side.

Was Paco excited or had you just called him over to you? If he was greeting you or being submissive, it is perfectly normal-it just didn't happen in a very good place.
