Hi everyone. I do not know if you will remember me. I am Falines mom. I was away from the computer awhile due to a friends illness. The I tried to get back on the boards and everytime it would not let me log in. I tried today and it worked! I am so excited. Well, an update: Faline was 1 year in June, finally stopped pooing in my bedroom (Yea), and is due to be spayed November 1st. Just bought he some cute pajamas from the pet store. ANyway, I am back and hope to be posting often.

Hi Cathy! Sure, I remember you and Faline. I'm sorry to hear about your friend who was ill. :(

Yeah, there were a few tech. difficulties where it kept "crashing" if that's the right word, and we had to start over a few times.(server-type problems) but now they are all just fine. :D

Wow! Faline's over one already! Roman just turned two! LOL I'm not sure if you remember him or not. He was an active chi child, but now so mannerly.

I'm glad to hear Faline's little incidents have stopped--I knew they would, but sometimes it seems like no end in sight.

I've seen some darling Chihuahua PJ's too and must get them. Now I have to get both pink and blue for Roman and Elle, my little girl chi.

It will be nice to have you here with us again. Have fun catching up, and please keep us posted with Faline's operation.

I will. I am so nervous about the spay I can't tell you. I am a worrier! I know I am doing the right thing but feel so bad. We went away over the summer and she was at a wonderful kennel for three days. Well, she had the runs for a week! I can just imagine how she will be after that. My friend tells me I should have her dew claws done too. Anyone have an opinion on that?

I remember you and your little Roman. Did you have Elle though? I can't seem to remember her.

The PJ's are so cute. She can't get used to the back legs being in though and walks funny in them!

You remember Roman then. LOL How can anyone forget? haha No, I didn't have Elle back then. She's only 9 months old now and a sweetheart. She's a "full brother" to Roman, same parents, different batch. (learned the full brother thing from Heuser's mommy. :) ) Come to think of it, there's so many new chi's here now. :D

I've been afraid to get Elle spayed, but will soon. It seems like once they get home, they just sleep and want to get well quick, so they can play, but female chi owners will have to attest to this. It is scarey to put them through that, but they are all fine.

Be sure to ask for pain pills for Faline. I've learned they can need these for a while; I think it's a bit more painful for the females. Roman was fine and didn't need anything for neutering and just glad to be home, but Elle's quite a drama princess and will need the morophine drip, I'm sure...::wub: LOL

Hi and welcome back!

Just had a quick minute and wanted to say that I'm sure Faline will be fine and recover quickly from her surgery. In my opinion, it would be a great time to get her dewclaws removed as well since they were not done when she was a newborn (all the breeders I know of do it then). Basically, it is thought that removing them with little/no trauma to the rest of the foot and leg is better than the likely possibility of them being accidently ripped out during play or snagging on blankets, carpet, etc. Heuser and Tally will send sniffs and kisses your way and let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the response. She has never had a problem with the dew claws so far. But I did see that poor chihuahua on animal planet that got it caught in a door or window, can't remember, and hug there until mommy got home. How awful.
