My babies acted like "something was in the air" that made them hyper yesterday. First naturally, and then provoked to make it worse.

:w00t: Sheba and Roman were hyper yesterday. Sheba woke up and came out to the computer early with me like she does every day. She's my velcro dog. She was sweet as ever. Then Roman woke up about 8:00. Sheba let him know to stay away from her and her bed and didn't let up. She usually stops and leaves him alone. She surprised him by continuing to go after him. She didn't bite him, but we've been saying how perfect they've been getting along. I was afraid to leave them alone in the car together while I had my doctor appt. It went fine. (Elle's always crated during this time.)

Next, while we were parked in front of a store where Terry was shopping, a guy had left a large Daschaund/mix tied to his bicycle. I tried to keep Roman from seeing this dog, so the Weenie dog wouldn't drag the bike to our car. LOL When Roman saw the dog, he went (((nuts!!!!))) Sheba chimed in from the back seat--non stop and she wouldn't listen to me either.

Finally, the worst I thought that would happen, happened. The guy came over to the car and started talking to Roman and I, and agging Roman and Sheba on. I wanted him to go away. (now thinking is my pepper spray handy? LOL) He kept kicking his dog in the rear and yelling at me how far his dog runs every day next to him on the bicycle; something like 7 miles (correction, that was one way, so 14 miles a day!). It's a Weenie dog! The dog acted like he was used to being kicked, which does not equal LIKE IT. I didn't like that at all and really wanted him to go away. He must have seen the look on my face because he started telling me the dog liked it!!! :cry2: I'm sure his dog had a say in this matter!!!

By now, my two dogs knew this guy was kicking his dog, even if it was their "play", but Roman became so upset, he bit my hand hard trying to get at this man. I think he wanted to protect the poor dog. Then he got a bigger NO. Ro knew he messed up and calmed down then. I saw the "Oops" look on Ro's face. The man's eyes got big when I told Roman NO. Was he going to start kicking our car now? LOL LOL I could tell I wasn't going to tell this guy anything.

Finally, a nice lady with her kids saw Sheba and Ro, and started talking to her and the usual how pretty she is, is she a Collie, hello baby, hello baby, pretty girl, all while the other guy is talking, kicking his dog, mine barking. I'm insane now at this point. Elle lets out a few loud barks from her kennel. I think this lady came to make sure I was ok with this guy. She stayed until the guy rode off. We exchanged eye rolls and smiled. When we got home, I took them for a long walk in the yard and they were all treated to chicken.

We used to report abuse like this, but now the answer 100% of the time is "What do you want us to do about it? Why are you reporting this? Do you know this person? Do you have something against them?"

We were going south to the city today, but after yesterday, I think the furbabies need a break.

Anyone else ever have days like this with their furbabies?
