I fell in love with a cocker....
She is of show quality and from show lines.
She is coming to me from CA. I am still in the payment exchanges so things are not final yet but I was very excited I wanted to show you.
She is 1 mth younger than Naz.
:)
I'm going to name her Nevaeh (heaven spelled backwards)
pronounced Nev-Vay-ahhh :)

I found her via internet. I talk to a lot of cocker people and most of them are in show so one conversation lead to another and wah la....
I had my eye on her for a while but she wanted a lot of money for her so I didn't really give her much thought back then. Then a few weeks ago we started talking again and she mentioned she still had the pup and she was moving and was willing to drop the price to to sell some of her dogs before her big move... and the price was more to my liking and so long story short we got to talking and made a deal. It was hard trying to decide since I orig started out on this wanting a CHI lol.... but Cockers are SWEETIES that its hard to say no to them... and once you own one your bound to own another LOL ;)

That's so true. Two dogs I remember as a kid were owned by the same people...a Clocker and a Chihuahua. :w00t: I was only 4 or so, but I remember being in total love with the Cocker, but scared to death of the Chihuahua. ha :)

Well, good for you Bren! I'm sure you know I frown on buying dogs over the internet but it really sounds like you have taken the time to talk with other Cocker people and her breeder. Are you planning on showing her then? It is really fun once you get into it and a GREAT family activity! I have to admit I'm not up-to-date on the Cocker Standard, but she looks nice in the pictures. Has her breeder sent any of her front and rear? That is actually MUCH more important then the profile, lovely though it may be. An improperly formed dog can't move correctly and straight legs set well are super important (and also the HARDEST to breed away from-poor fronts and rears are thought to be almost impossible to correct and very few breeders willingly take the task on). Just a word of advice. My friend actually used to be in Cockers and getting tired of the extensive grooming, got into chihuahuas-Guess your doing it the other way, lol!!!
I can't wait to see lots of pictures!!!
Lys
PS-my boss at 3 Dog has two cockers and you're right, they are SUPER sweet and such great dogs!

~Well sorta... I do still LOVE CHICHI's and still plan to own some... I'm just a going to have to be delayed plan for a few years is all.
My someday dream would be to show and bred Chi's ;)
For now I'm enjoying the Cocker breed.
I hope there is no rule that you can only be a one breed lover ;)

There is. hehe kidding.
Before I got Roman, I (((KNEW))) I was getting a Black Lab. There wasn't a chance of changing my mind.
And if I had my way, I would have an Old English and a Standard Poodle or two of each, a Toy Poodle. I also would have a "Kishi Dog", many retired Gray Hound race dogs, two Afghan Hounds. I'd have more Shelties and a Collie ...all at once. Really. :) I think I could fall in love with Pugs, Bassetts, Cockers, German Shepard's Retrievers, and yes, even the Labradoodle and other mixes.

I am still so happy that you were able to get a second cocker and a friend and breeding partner for Naz. I wish I could reach out and touch their beautiful coats. But every time I post about your new girl I have to spell heaven backwards in my head as I type...:cry2: I'm a little dyslexic and a bad speller and I get some odd combinations before I get it right. So I'm going to think of your babies as N & N the way we type H & T if you don't mind. :)
