Hi girlies!!!

I have been brain-storming for Halloween Costume Ideas for Heuser and Tally and I thought it would be fun to start a thread for everyone's ideas! This year with the attack and all, we are going to throw a birthday party for Heuser (his birthday is on Halloween) and so he will need to be dressed extra special! Here are a few ideas I have thought of but I'd love to hear what you guys have done or any ideas too!
1) I will sew them a vest/shirt out of Tulle fabric and attach a stryfoam "tube" at the back for a "TEACUP Chihuahua" custom
2) I attach doll wings to nylon harnesses and buy little pearl braceletts for them to go as "Chihuahua's with Angels Wings" (I thought Barb would like this one).
3) MIZZOU Fans-Matt's Alma Mater and Kansas City's KU rival (I thought that would be funny since the KU is located less than an hour away and the rivalry between the two schools is huge!) I'd make them matching black and gold blankets and can get Mizzou patches online to attach to them, or even buy matching doggy shirts that have Mizzou logos on them
4) HA! Okay, I'd NEVER do this one, but Matt thinks it would be hilarious-he wants me to SHAVE Heuser's tail and have him go as a rat...I'm not even going to get into that one...
5) "Married" Chihuahuas-I'd sew/make a bowtie for Heuser and a veil-like dress or neckpiece for Tally so that they can go as a bride and groom...That might be good since they are going to be bred soon (probably)
6) Pepe LaPue (SP?) and his kitty friend-Okay, I have NO idea how to do this one, but it is SO Heuser and Tally, it don't even know what to do!!! Especially since Heuser has decided that he is "Rico Suave" and that Tally must WANT him (even though she doesn't!)
7) ??? That's all folks! Any more ideas?
Lys

Lys, your ideas are excellent. I think it would be original if you make a muscle t-shirt for Heuser with Popeye's photo on it. You could use a harmless marker --washable Crayola, and draw a sailor tattoo of an anchor on his bicep. Maybe you could attach a fake can of spinach to his arm (with a tiny rubber band) and a miniature cylinder spinach can. You could find this can in the miniature dollhouse aisle at an arts and crafts store or make one yourself using a paper covered thread spool. Of course, Tally could be Olive Oyl and wear the same funny dress as O.O. since the two should have coordinating costumes! I hope you like this idea. I just thought of it, when you mentioned Pepe LePue.

Just still brainstorming. You could affix a little spinach can to H's collar (for more comfort) and he could walk around like a Saint Bernard carrying a barrel. Hehe!!!

LOL the angel wings is cute!!!

Aww! These are all good ideas Lys and Zoe. I can picture Tally and Heuser all dressed up! PopEye's a great idea too, since Heuser endured so much from the Brutus big dogs.

Elle is going to be Kermit the Frog and Roman is going to be Heff, (Hugh Heffner at the Playboy mansion) He just loves to lie around the pool in his bathrobe...so kicked back...and manly!!! LOL

I already know I'm using bright green polar fleece for Elle. I'm making a neck piece like Kermit's and if she'll wear them, some green ankletts, and a vest type body...sounds good with a no sew project.

Roman's will also be basically a no-sew, hopefully. I'll have to see what the fabric is for bathrobes. hmmm....daddy never wears his thick terrycloth blue bathrobe anymore...*sees scissors cutting into it for Roman* LOL

you could dress them up as a cowboy and an indian for mr h you could buy a little cowboy hat and make him a cowprint vest and for miss tally you could make a little head band with little beads and a feather and give her a beaded necklace and make a faux fur shirt i think that would be adorable

All the ideas are so wonderful and cute! I love them all! I like the bride and groom idea, or they could go as Raggidy Anne and Andy (or however you spell their names). You could make them football and cheerleader outfits, and if H doesn't mind, maybe even some type of football helmet??

ha ha ha JenJen! Years ago, on one of those "real people" shows, there was a "big tough biker guy" who had a Chihuahua who rode with him. He had hollowed out a softball and made a helmet for the Chi; it was the perfect size and the cutest thing! For the face guard, you could take part of a strawberry basket and paint it silver or black. Good idea JenJen!!! :)

Hi you! I was wondering where you were!!! Those are great ideas, especiall since I want to go as a cheerleader this year too! Me and Tally can be cheerleaders and Heuser and Matt can wear football jerseys and be the "team" hehehe!!! I have even been going online to see how much a "real" uniform costs, lol (they didn't let us keep ours in high school-grrrrr)!
