Model long haired chihuahua - help!

Hello

My girlfriend is going away to university soon and is leaving behind the family long haired chihuahua. I thought it might be nice to get her a model of the breed to take with her - this is proving harder than I thought. Ive spent hours on the web and found nothing. I live in a tourist town with loads of souvenir shops all selling little dogs - not 1 chihuahua to be found.

Hi and welcome to Club Chihuahua. :wave: What I would do if I wanted to take a model of my chi somewhere is have something made from photos.

Most larger drug stores have a photo department where you can order plates, mugs, mouse pads, t-shirts, calendars, etc at very reasonable prices. Some of them have stand-up "cut outs" you can have made with photos of your Chihuahua. They put them on foam core board. Any large type of print shop could make one of these to a life size Chi. You can also have the pictures of her precious little one copied on to fabric and make pillow or cut them out into a "stuffed animal toy." That would be very easy to do.

Online, photo places have sections to have things made from photos, but it sounds like you have the internet search down. :)

PS Please tell your girfriend she is very welcome to join here to talk Chihuahuas and share pictures with us--she's very welcome. :) As we all know here, it's hard to be away from our Chi's and not be able to cuddle them.

Thanks for that, I hadnt actually thought of the photo idea, im pretty sure we have some places in my town that will do that. Just have to get my hands ona photo.

You said you wanted a model of the breed, so I'm not sure if you're specifically looking for a long-haired or short-haired one. I find long-haired ones harder to find, but I was on eBay the other day and came across this short-haired one. Check it out:

ooh, tough one.

In actually very colour blind but have spent about 4 hours on net searching. I think you call it tan/white.

There must be someone in the world that does a model of a long haried chihuahua.
