Sheba's always loved fish. She became excited when she saw we had them again and had to say hello...

Those pics are priceless. Look at those doggies watching the fish. I just love seeing Roman's little paws up on the tank. Does he bark at the fishies?
Maybe fishies will come to our house next year...
Your tank is beautiful. What size is it and how many fish? Do I see little clown fish? Is it saltwater? Good luck with it.

Thanks Faye, Sharon and Terri. :)
Faye, I was wondering if you ever got your fishies. This is my new 10 gallon fresh water aquarium. It's still cycling, so I only have the 6 Harlequin rasboras, but I'm going to be adding some small cory cats. A 10 gal can't have too much in it, so I'm going to be getting a 50+ soon, but not sure what I'm going to have in it yet-I'm still checking it out. I actually have about five aquariums in my plans. LOL LOL
I love these harlequins because they're very small and will stay small and swim together. So with the cory pandas or 3-lines I'll be getting, that will complete this community.
They love it when I feed them. They're very happy little fish. :) I even stuck my hand in the water and went to the bottom for the first time in my life. I'm squeemish with bugs and fish, so this was a major breakthough for me to do! My hand felt funny for hours! ewwww! haha But nothing bit me or pulled me in!!! :w00t: haha
Roman doesn't bark at all. He just sits like he is here, watches where they swim, and paws on the glass. I now have to learn how to get a pic without the flash on the glass.

Thanks Renata, :)I put Elle up on the chair to look and after about the 5th time, she did make eye contact with the fish, but wasn't interested... maybe when she's older. LOL

Hi Barb, I didn't get a tank. I'll have to wait until next year. I'm running out of space in the apartment as I set up a second doggie house and pee pee area in the bedroom. But I would still like a tank. The only spot I have is on top of a double dresser. Do you think that would work? I would like a good size tank but with only a few fish. I like room in the tank rather than a crowded look. I find this more relaxing. I would also be tempted to go with saltwater but I hear that is more difficult. However, if I'm going to spend the money and put in the time I really would like a tank with white sand and coral in it. Any advise? Thanks, Faye

HI Faye, Well, I know we all have several thousand dollars laying around to burn, so here's the perfect aquarium for us that won't take up any room at all. ;-)
http://www.wallaquariums.com/index.htm I am in LOVE with these, but I'll get one when pigs fly.
I suppose you could put a tank on a dresser, but you'd have to check it's strength. If it's tounge and groove then there's more stability, and then there's the possible leaking problems, so you might not want to put things in the drawers that could be damaged. I've never had one leak or break, but they can.
I don't know if this is right, but I've heard salt water has daily testing, but I tend to my fresh water daily as well. I don't see why you couldn't have a salt water. I plan on getting one. Maybe the difficulty we've heard about is if you keep live rock. Then you have to have skimmers, lots of live food things...yeah, I think that's a lot of work, but I'd do it. I don't want to tend to live rock at the moment...and the cost!
I probably posted this before, but one of my favorite tanks was in a doctors office. It was a 55 or larger with two angel fish, one cat fish, a small shoal or school of small fish, and one small black"shark." From what I've learned it's not really a shark. Real sharks grow too big, and this one was about 3 inches. This seemed like the ideal setup and wasn't crowded at all...lots of activity.
What do you think about Seahorses? I'm facinated by them. They need sand instead of rock because they can scrape on the bottom. There's so much to keeping them, feeding, special equipment, costs, and breeding them. I'm in the process of learning this now.
