Ear Care~Here's A Reason To Have More Than One Chihuahua

After you've brushed the coat and trimmed stray hairs, move on to the ears and eyes. Look inside the ears to check for dirt, scratches, and foxtails. Parasites or discharge in the ear often require a trip to the veterinarian. Fortunately, Chihuahuas love licking each other's ears, so if you have more that one, you're not likely to find much more than a little wax. Then Then give the ears a good sniff. There shouldn't be any unpleasant ordor. If there is, your dog may have an ear infection that needs a vet's care. moisten a cotton ball, cotton swab, or cosmetic pad with mineral oil or a liquid ear cleaner recommended by your veterinarian and gently wipe the ears out, going no deeper than the first knuckle on your finger. Now, I think this is the best reason to have more than one Chi! :lol:

I've heard ear mytes also cause itching and an unpleasant odor. When I read the topic title I agreed 100%!!!! Having two chi's is such a great thing for many reasons, this ear cleaning being one of them. Abarenbo and Alana's ears are so very clean, they go to town in each other's ears! :D

This made me laugh because its so true, there is so much ear cleaning going on here :lol:
Pascha is the major ear and eye cleaner around here... she cleans the boy chi's eyes and ears at least once a day, Busty in return cleans Pascha.
Pascha tries to clean human ears too :lol: , she is the cleaning machine LOL
