Hi ya'll. I finally treated myself to an expensive scale. I decided if I am going to live healthy, that I want to monitor my successes even when they are miniscule. I divorced sugar and fried foods last March so it's been 17 months without desserts, potato chips, candy bars, and anything else I deem decadent (though I would consider nibbling on a fat free biscotti if I were out on a date with Vin).
I am finally back into size 16's and they're loose, after me flopping around for so many years up and down the scale. I kissed "Goodbye" my size 24's and gave them to a local charity. It's a reason to shop, yay, if only I had some mad money to splurge!!!
My knee injury from my car accident is finally something I can deal with---and I began this week, walking four miles every other evening. It's not going to make a Baywatch Babe out of me...but I've lost 73 pounds and want to lose another 27 to make it an even 100. Can I regain my girlish figure??? Who the heck knows?
Is anyone else eager for the autumn cool weather to arrive, so getting active is less torture? Who has special occasions to do a Jumping Jack or two for?
Zachary's Bar Mitzvah is being held the 23rd of October, so I am really trying to focus on that date to drop some more tonage.
Let's hear from ya, strength in numbers, ladies!!!!!

Wow Zoe! I'm so proud of you for all the determination to get that weight off! I wish I could stick to it like that!

Sharon sounds like your off to a good start!

Zoe, Congratulations on your new you! Shopping sounds like the fun part of it all. Oh, and I'd love to have a good scale...at least one I can weigh a Chihuahua on! Mine puts out 4 different numbers...I take the one I like. And it's good to hear your knee's a little more tolerable.

Hey Zoe and Sharon

Way to go!

I am still on my walking program with my next door neighbour. It's great & when we can't go I do Pilates and that really pushes me.
I think if I could be dedicated the Pilates would turn me into a flat stomached godess.... but oh my gosh... it's the hardest thing for me.

I am enjoying the rainy weather that has come last few days because the heat was making me crazy/ I Must re-think my dream vacation to Hawaii.
I'd probably get there and complain about the heat.

You go girls!!! It is SO hard to stay motivated and it sounds like you are doing a good job! I have to admit that I have been REALLY bad lately with all of this Heuser-stuff going on-I've gained 7 pounds in two weeks-yikes!!! I'll blaim that on grief-eating but now that H is getting better, I can't use that excuse anymore! We are moving in a couple of weeks and are FINALLY going to be able to join a REAL gym (not just use our apartment's crappy version of a workout room) and I am totally excited! Now, if I could just stop stuffing my face-hehehe!!!

Zoe and Sharon, you two are doing wonderfully! I am so proud of you both.
I wish I could say I was doing half as good as either of you. But it seems like there's not enough hours in the day to really do anything anymore. Although, since my job requires to be on my feet all day, does that count as exercise? LOL.
Bev, last week it was humid as heck, this week it's rainy, but not too hot. Don't rethink your vacation to HI, just rethink of the time of year you'll be coming. I'd say late oct. to mid jan. is good. And if you can't get enough rain in Canada, come in april.
