Update on Mickey's Surgery

Well Mickey had his knee surgery about 8 weeks ago. We were suppose to keep him from running and jumping for 6 weeks, which was next to impossible. He was in a lot of pain and discomfort for the first 4-5 days.

He just got a checkup and the vet said he's healed very nicely. She said his a muscular little guy.

Now all that has to happen is his hair needs to grow back in. Its coming along quite slow.

HI. I'm so happy to hear Mickey's healing nicely from his surgery. He must feel so good not to have that nasty pain anymore, and what a relief for you. My veterinarian always laughs when he has told me to keep my dogs quiet for healing time--like we can! haha. It seems like the hair takes forever to grow back too. Chi hugs to Mickey. I'm sure once Mickey's body is finished healing his coat will come in nicely...So glad to hear that he is doing well! Heuser and Tally send their love and get-well wishes to your little one!

Oh my goodness!! I didn't know about this! I am glad that he is doing so good!!! I am sooooo scared of this surgery, Lucius needs it badly but his vet is holding off right now. Actually she wants to schedule it after summer is over and he isn't so bogged down by all of his allergies. It is so nice to hear that it went well, I hope Lu does just as good as Mickey did. Does he have to have both knees done, or just one?

He only had one knee done. The other one was fine. The knee that was bad, got really bad quite quickly. The kneecap was staying out of the socket more than it was in.
