We sort of crate trained, more like "small space" trained. LOL. But with the next chi we'll get (whenever the heck that'll be) I think I'll definately crate train. It seems very beneficial!

I crate trained nina and kutchum thats how i potty trained them then after they started getting the idea i kept them in a small area also if i was going out i would crate them so they would not get in trouble, now i just leave the crate door open because they like to go in there to take a nap. it really works well

I crate trained both Chihuahuas.

I semi-crate trained since we got Heuser already paper/puppy pad broken at 6 months old...It more like JenJen's "small space trained"...We kept him in a bathroom or in his exercise pen on the kitchen tile with his bed, food & water, and pad whenever we were gone or while he was sleeping/taking a break, or at night. It worked wonders! Tally also came to us kind of knowing the whole potty outside concept but still has poop accidents once in a while-I just can't figure her out! She would NEVER dream of peeing in the house and only uses the puppy pads if she is ready to burst but as soon as she has to go #2, she just does-no matter where we are!!! (I'm serious, she just starts pooping on the sidewalk when she has to go and we are on a walk!) She is also "reminded" of the correct potty habits by "small-space training." We put her in the X-pen when we leave her for more than an hour or two...Gee, I can't wait until our first litter-more poopers to train, lol!

i tried it and Lucky hated it...he would cry and howl all night long....and everytime we would try to put him in it..he would shake like a leaf....so i didn't force him...he has slept with us in bed since day one and i wouldn't have it any other way
