Sooo Ivy isn't wearing it yet, but she had her staples removed today and she didn't like it at all. She would have had stitches but she decided to try to take them out. So didn't want to put it around her tummy. This was made with a vintage popcorn chenille and vintage hankie. I promise I will get pics of them in their outfits soon hee heeee!!!

How are the girls feeling? Poor babies :( I bet they're getting extra pampering though, and it's good the staples at least came out today!

Lori that one is adorable. I have tons of vintage embrodiered hankies and had thought about using them in some way with the outfits but just hadn't done it. I love it. The popcorn chenille fabric is amazing. You are so creative. Hope Ivy is feeling better after her staples were removed. How is Willow doing?

Meredith, thanks girl. Hee heeee.....If you could only see all of the fabric I have you would understand rofl!!! I have a big sewing room with fabric stacked all in my shelves, not to mention the huge closet full, and also bins and bins all stacked all along one side of my garage almost to the top. Alot are all vintage tableclothes, hankies, chenille spreads trims etc. I also have a good collection of European fabrics and trims also. Sooooo as you can see, I really need to use them up. I have collected all of this when I made boutique childrens clothing and sewed all the time for my girls. BTW... Ivy and Willow are doing great. Poor Ivy though, they had a heck of a time getting one staple out, and I could hear her crying at the vet today :( Plus I think I forgot to mention that when they microchipped her she scratched her skin raw on her neck about a dime size, so she had minor surgery to fix that, so now she has stitches up her neck so she wouldn't have a bald spot there. Poor thing, she will never want to go back.

Thanks Twyla.....Sooo you are a collector too! I LOVE any thing vintage so you will be seeing more of these hankies to come lol!!! It's hard at times to find good ones that don't have some sort of damage to them though. I have soo much fabrics that I get all flustered going through them all and coordinating them all together, not to mention the disaster I make doing it rofl!!!! My poor hubbie lol!!

I have fabrics from my mom, grandma and my sister's mother in law that had been in storage for years. Some of it is just so amazing I want to make just the right things with it and haven't been able to decide. I have all of my grandma and great grandma's hankies along with quite a few I have acquired over time too. I have very little in trims and accessories though. My great great Aunt hand made amazing quilts and I have several of her pieces.

Lori, I wish we lived closer so you could teach me how to sew. I would love it if I could create these outfits like you do!
It is beautiful Lori! Every piece you make is truly exquisite. I love your fabric, and embellishment choices. It all coordinates so well. I would call what you do not only sewing, but art.
I'm sorry to hear Ivy isn't feeling so well. I hope both of the girls are up and running very soon. Give them both gentle hugs from us.
