I have been trying to teach my chi's tricks and they have mastered walking on their back legs but wont have a bar of learning any new tricks! LOL

I would love to know what kind of tricks your dog/chi's can do, and how did you teach them...

:D

My chi's can walk on their back legs but will only do it if there are plenty of treats involved....

This is Busty who can only seem to walk backwards:

Here is Pascha trying her hardest to get a treat

WOW---Terri, everytime I see these video clips of your chihuahuas, I feel like I can reach out and touch your babies. It makes me really want to spend time with them. I know I sound goofy or nostalgic having an attachment to chihuahuas who live across the globe from me, but I do think your babies are beautiful, and I get a little sappy over them. Pascha especially seems to melt my heart, though the 3 of them are all special.

Their walking on hind legs is adorable. Cookie can walk across the entire living room without putting down her front paws even once! Brownie, who is much heavier (he is probably 8 pounds, and Cookie is 5 1/4 pounds) seems to struggle after the first step. He can get up in the two-footed position, but he's goofy and doesn't seem to want to walk forward. Cookie, however,
could walk and walk and walk on her hind legs as long as a treat is involved. Brownie, who is a typical man, wants the treat without working for it!

Thanks Zoe, I know Pascha would absolutely adore you - Your a loving, fun, caring person and thats her favourite type of person, Pascha would probably sneak home in your bag if she could LOL

OMG Cookie is amazing! My chi's can only stand for a few seconds.

Hi Terri

Casey can Dance. She can wipe her face, this is that one from the old boards that Barb posted. A small piece of tape is placed beside their noses and when they wipe at it give them a treat.
Casey does this ALL the time when she is begging for a treat. So cute!!!

She can also play the piano. We taught her to do that one by gently placing her paw on the keys of a little tykes kiddie piano.
We gave her a treat and then started taping the keys myself she very quickly picked up on the connection and she will tap for a treat. I have to keep the piano on a shelf because she will go and just play anytime for a treat.
She can shake a paw which always melts my heart because it's so fragile.

She crawls too because she did that one naturally to start with and so we just give her a treat for it and say good crawling.

I love your pictures feels just like your here!

Wow! There are a lot of trick dogs here! :w00t: Roman and Elle love tricks.

They are very good with the game, "Name that Tune." When ever we start humming "dum dum de dum" with the theme from Bonanza, they both run from where ever they are to jump on the blanket, dog bed, pillow or whatever can be jumped on that can be drug as their "covered wagon". Then they expect to be drug around and hold on for dear life all around the livingroom and down the hallway and back. :w00t: We call this trick "Wagon Train."

Sheba's always responded to different songs in different ways too--not so much anymore in her golden years.

oh, the have another song, the theme to "Mission Impossible" that they dance to automatically when it's their meal times. Elle started this one, but Roman and Sheba caught on to it.

Roman and Elle walk on their back legs all the time. Roman sticks his belly out for balance and Elle pulls her front legs back, practically behind her head. It's hilarious to see them both bobbing around at the same time. LOL
