Sammi Girl Asked For A Little Black Dress

Some of you may know that Sammi Girl has been hinting that she would like to own and model a Little Black Dress. She is well aware of her own elegance and is a big fan of Audrey Hepburn. Every time I boot up the laptop there is a new Audrey Hepburn photo saved to my picture file. Seems Sammi has been googling Audrey and "little black dress" while I am at work.

Here is what she has found so far. She says she is hoping that certain ladies who are skillful in the needle arts might be so inspired that they would take on a commission.

Sammi Girl says this shape is stunning but would love to see it in all black, no bow. Seems she knows what she likes.

I will measure Sammi all over. She is 9 pounds. Not like any of your little ones. She also is long from shoulders to hips. Maybe I could measure her all over and then get a tailors model made in her chi shape and just keep it on hand for fittings. Ha.

Seriously I would love a Little Black Dress made by each of you and would be glad to compensate you for your skills. :)

Ta Ta Ta Da: I am pleased to announce that I can divulge that Twyla has created a black cocktail dress for my dear Sammi Girl.

I have seen the dress. It is not finished yet. I started yelling OMG, OMG when I saw the photo. It is exactly as I imagined the dress.

Twyla, even gave me alternate choices in fabric, styling and accessories. And as proof that Club Chi is a blessed place I fell in love with the dress she created on the first go and the one she liked best too.

Twyla is a doll to do this for Sammi and I. I am in her debt for the fulfillment of a fantasy/wish that I have had for my elegant lady dog for a very long time.

When Twyla gives me the go ahead we will post pictures of the dress.
I look forward to sharing Twyla's design with you all. :)

Besides being the most beautiful dress I have ever touched (dog or human) it fit Sammi perfectly.

There is a satin underskirt with a center pleat. Then a see through over skirt.

Here is the underside of the skirt. You can see the see through over skirt, the fully lined satin underskirt, the velvet waist and the bottom of the part that opens and goes around Sammi's back.
