Jane (Jane_C) Can I ask you a question?

I'm just curious-- for your harness vests that you make- how do you make them so perfectly even at the bottom? I've made a few dresses and I'm using the bodice part to try making a vest for a boy dog. The only problem is I'm not really sure how to "close" it at the bottom. Usually I can cover up a bad hem/stitch/whatever with some ribbon or whatnot on a dress but how do I do a vest?

Twyla I think you did some vests as well- if anyone can help me I'd appreciate it!

It is really easy Meredith. You just sew right sides together all the way around, and leave about a 3inch opening at the bottom, so you can turn the fabric to the right side. Then, just do a top-stitch across the bottom to close the seam and give a "finished" look. You can always practice on a scrap piece of fabric. I'm so glad you are learning to sew...good for you!:)

Thanks! that makes a lot of sense :) I have to work on my stitching though- I'm really not that good at it! Practice makes perfect though! Save one of your jelly bean harnesses for me too- I just LOVE that harness and my new baby is going to need that ASAP when I get her! :)

Your welcome! I have a small amount of the Jelly Bean fabric left, so I will put some back for you. I love that fabric too!! I just added several new Boys harnesses to my site, and will be adding two adorable girl harnesses too.
