I have bought two different kinds of treats for my chi but he doesn't seem to like them very much. The ones I've bought are:
- Natural Balance. With Bison, Pearled Barley & Blueberry.
- Science Diet. Treats with real chicken.
Do you recommend any? Most of the treats I find in the stores are a bit too big for Rocky I think.
P.S. If you live in the St. Louis area and you want these treats, let me know! Rocky doesn't want them anyway!

OK...this one I can really help you with. Ivy won't eat ANY and I mean ANY treats, so it really made it hard to praise her with anything. Well......I have found the best, I mean the best Freezed Dried Chicken Liver treats. Ivy goes crazy nuts over them, and of course Willow goes crazy also, but she is much easier to please rofl!!! I found them at our Doggy boutique in Carmel Ca, but found out that they are much cheaper, 1/2 the price if ordered direct from the co. Theya re great since they just are light as air, and crumble in their mouth, or basically melt in their mouth. I also just bought their Puppy food also, and they both LOVE it. It is great food!!! Here is their site.

Mine don't like any of the commercial treats. I use boiled chicken, turkey breast (no skin), and cheddar cheese. They love all 3.

I've been using dried Salmon treats for Happy and Sammi because Sammi needs to eat fish. They both love these. Here is a link. They vary in size in the jar but are easy to break up to smaller size.

They also love cheddar cheese. Happy will eat any cheese (well any thing at all) but Sammi does not like Munster or Gouda!
Oh, and forgot to mention, canned Sardines (packed in water), and canned Salmon.

Jackson is pretty picky and he loves Solid Gold Tiny Tots (lamb). They are healthy too! They are too big to give him whole as a training treat, but are super easy to break up.
Another good one are chicken nibblers. Same deal as above.
When we are doing something EXTRA SUPER SPECIAL he gets hot dog slivers. I cut them into a million pieces and then microwave them for about 2 minutes. These are special for when we are going to scary place or meeting new scary people as they really catch his attention and keep him interested.

I have used string cheese, hot dogs, cooked chicken or turkey (cut into little pieces).
As for commercially available treats - I often use cat treats as they are soft and tiny, but have also used bil-jac (they now make a small size Lil'Jacs), Cosmo's bait (available online or at dog shows), Lean Treats (available at vets).
Kind of funny that I feed raw, yet my treats are commercial :) Anyway, I use Vitakraft Yogurt drop. I tried every treat available in stores to find one that Yoshi likes and he LOVES this one. It's a bright orange bag and also comes in choco-milk and peanut butter flavors. It's the only thing not raw that goes in his belly (and he goes nutters over them).

for my treats i usually use japanese products such as doggyman (milkbones and what not) or this other treat i forgot the name but it's dried up apples for dogs. other treats that i give him can be found in the home such as strawberries (must be from japan), mangoes (from the philippines - i own a mango plantations so he gets all the mangoes he can eat), apples (must be sweet), carrot sticks, pears, watermelon, chicken, tenderloin, etc. hahaha damn loki, spoiled much?
i think he likes the fresh stuff better than the dog products

we use raw veg, they both love carrot.
we also buy home made liver treats from our trainer.
As for commercial, i tend to stay away from those but i have found a locally produced treat that is 100% natural and its flavoured with bacon! they love those!

I thinly slice hot-dogs and then microwave them ontop of paper towels until they become crispy. They make excellent treats that my dogs go NUTS for!
