Hi. http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0903/sprachlos/speechless-smiley-003.gif I need any of the poison lists that have been posted on the old CC site and any new ones anyone can find from the internet PLEASE. My step mom has more plants than a nursery and more flowers than a florist. She has 3 yards so full of them and also in every room in her house that it's hard to walk.

I forgot to mention this is where we delivered Elle's brother to yesterday. They are on the floor, on the ground and the potty pad is "a mile" through small potted plants as far as a Chi goes. http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0903/sprachlos/speechless-smiley-003.gif

When I told her they would have to be picked up permanantly, she just said the pup wouldn't chew them! http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0903/sprachlos/speechless-smiley-003.gif
I kept explaining that Chihuahuas are known for eating everything, and she just poo-ppo'd me and her daughter who was telling her, "listen to Barbara, listen to what barb has to say!" It was like we weren't there, so I'm going to have to get these lists and tell her that SHE IS GOING TO KILL HER DOG. http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0903/sprachlos/speechless-smiley-003.gif

My Dad was off taking his driving test, so I'm going to call and see how it went last night and go and get the dog at anytime I have to if she won't listen. It's sort of a different situation. My Dad still has his house and she lives in hers, so he's not there much. I feel somewhat responsible if something happens to Biff. I knew it may not work out, but not with the dog poisoned. http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0903/sprachlos/speechless-smiley-003.gif

So any help on food, drugs, plants flowers and plants--good or bad is appreciated. I shouldn't have left him there until it was all picked up. So I'm going to call today and if things are not changed by the end of the day, I'm going to try and go get him tomorrow if she will let me now. I can't see it working out for them, but maybe I'm just overprotective with the babies.

Thanks Sharon, I just got off the phone from my Dad. He said last night went fine, but everyone who helps this 75 yr. old woman thinks it's too much for her and all of them already.

But I demanded to my dad go right now and pick up every single plant and flower in the house where the pup will be until we found out the ones that are safe. He was on his way out to do that and is there right now. I was very blunt in what would happen and how unpleasant it would be for the pup and for them to watch. I was very graphic and to the point with the symptoms on poison.

I found this one that JenJen had previously posted.

Bren had posted a good one before too. I can't find it yet.

Oh, and Loppi's had posted this list on poisonous foods:

Hi Barb
Why doesnt she listen to you? You are the chihuahua expert so why doesnt she take your advice?
Im glad your dad is going there to help get the plants out of the way of the pup, I hope that it works out for the pup.

Here are some sites about poison plants, I think the first one is the same one that Jenjen posted:
http://dogs.about.com/cs/disableddogs/l/blplants.htm
http://www.uexplore.com/health/poisonplants.htm
http://pets.robbiehaf.com/plants.htm
http://www.dogpatch.org/doginfo/plants.html

Here is another one that I found on dog emergency care, i hope that nobody ever needs it though.

I like what it said at the bottom:
Poisonous Plants
Some of the plants here will make your dog very sick. Others can kill them and remember ,a Chihuahua doesn’t have to ingest much to have it affect it. If you think your Chihuahua (or dog) has eaten (or chewed) on any of these plants-please, don’t wait for symptoms-take your dog to your veterinarian.

Thanks so much Terri, These are great. I'll emai them to her daughter. They had completed the plant pick up and now maybe she'll be able to eventually move and add the safe ones back with help. It's all going well now---like it should have.

Thanks Sharon, It went very well, and she really finally listened. I was almost in a panic for a while.
