We saw these couple in the first few minutes of getting on the boat. Lets hope their not sharks! j/k

There were about 60 dolphins in the bay swimming around! But do you think I can get a shot with them all in it... These next two pics are kind of hard to work out - there are 3 of them playing together

There are heaps of rules about swimming near them, we are only allowed to get off the boat when they are not next to it and wait for them to come to us. They didnt want to come near us when we were in the water but we could hear them underwater and it was amazing! Here is a pic of me in the middle (green suit) with Stephan in sunglasses and his work boss's after our swim

Hi Terri, I keep looking at these pics and haven't even posted yet. It's so breath-taking. It must be quite an experience to be right out there swimming with them. :) It's Whale time here right now and I always get awstruck with every single one. Thanks for sharing the photos. Do you do this all of the time, or was this your first? Everything is so beautiful in Australia.

Hi Barb
This is the first time I have done something like this. I have seen them before but never this many in the same place. Hearing them was amazing kind of like hearing whales. They had a few baby ones around and they were soooo cute. We were out on the boat for 2 hours but it felt like 20 minutes.
I cant beleive that I didnt care about sharks when I was in the water, I normally freak out about sharks and we were so deep in the ocean and I didnt even care, or maybe I was just to wrapped up in what was going on around me. There have been a few shark attacks lately too.
I love whale time too, I try to go on a whale watch boat at least once a year, I love them, they are so huge but so graceful, they just take my breath away. I saw one really close to the boat once and he had barnicles all over his body which suprised me because they look so smooth from a distance. The whales are coming in about June to November for feeding and mating on their way to Antartica.
What type of whales do you get up there? Are they feeding and mating too?
WOW, that is sooooo cool!!!!! When we were in Destin we rented waverunners and went out and found a lot of dolphins also, we didn't swim with them but they were right next to us!!! I will have pics soon too!!! AMAZING!!

They're Gray whales. I could be partly wrong here, but I believe they have mated down south in Mexico in the warm waters and are now on they're way back north to Alaska. We watch them feed just right off the beaches and so close sometimes. They get beached sometimes, poor whales. Sometimes they save them, but it's not always possible even as hard as everyone tries to save them.
