So while one baby (Bean) is getting much better with the potty training... I am still having no luck with Dolce.

When he is enclosed in the bathroom he only uses the puppy pads... but whenever he has time out of there to play or snuggle he is finding somewhere to pee.

This morning he was fine until Moti came home and as soon as he walked in the door Dolce peed on my lap. UGH. I put him back in the bathroom and he finished on the puppy pad. Despite praising him for finishing in the correct location... when I let him out again a bit later, he did it again.
One second he is snuggled up next to me on a pillow with Bean and the next second he is peeing all over the pillow and on the sofa. I tried to catch him before he was done and pinched him firmly on the back of the neck and said no... then carried him back to the pad AGAIN.

I am definately losing patience. He is old enough now that these "instances" should NOT be happening so consistently. An occasional accident is one thing but this seems to be a daily routine.

Any new ideas? Other than keeping him constantly enclosed I am fresh out.

Aw! Sorry to hear this Shellie! Maybe keeping him enclosed is what he needs... to remind him of his training. I had to take it back to basics with Butters for a bit right after we brought home Biscuit. But now about 3 weeks later he's back to him self again and using his pee pads. I used to worry everytime he was out of my sight- but now I don't, I let him wander if he wants to Biscuit is another story. So maybe it will just take some time...? Does it have something to with Moti? Does it seem that he does it when Moti is around? I think I remember you saying his name last time this happened to, or something similar. Maybe he's jealous of him? Just an idea....

But good job on the praising!! They need that. Even though you want to wring their cute little necks.

The reason I think he responds with the "pee retaliation" more when Moti is around is because he is definately a "daddy's boy." He gets more jealous when HE pays attention to the other baby then when I do. I was getting up to say hello to Moti when he peed on my leg... He has always tried to weasel in between us even before Bean came along. I think he is just dead set on being the center of attention for both of us... but more importantly for Daddy.
