We have a dinner post. I love it. But sometimes in the morning I'm sitting here reading all the post sipping on my coffee. It's after noon and I still need coffee, too early for dinner. LOL
We have another major storm going on. We lost our power last night after midnight from the winds and we're usually the first ones to report it because we also don't have water when there's no power. If we don't call, they won't do anything about it. But last night we decided to let someone else from one of these 50+ homes call in. No one did, so Roman's Dad called at 9 am this morning. The lady from the Oregon based power company told him that we were the first to call in! 8 hours and no one called!
But she also added for the first time, that they would send someone out here, but if it was "our fault" the power was out, we'd have to pay for them coming! The wind was over 60mph! Our fault? LOL One would think they'd want to know if they need to fix a downed power line.
No wonder no one calls. Who want to be stuck with a $300.00 bill for reporting a power outage? But 5 minutes after he called, the power was restored and a guy named Joe called with a "follow up" call. I think someone forgot to flip a switch last night! Now it's hitting again with thunder and lightening. So there goes the power again. I think I'll make another pot of coffee since I don't sleep well when it's stormy and the power's out. I usually like these storms, but I'm home alone with the pups today.

Hi Barb! Gosh that totally sucks, and I can't believe no one bothered to call! But I guess no one wants to pay that money! Even with the winds being 60mph, it'd still be considered your fault?? That's really odd!
We're expecting a storm here tomorrow going on through saturday, maybe even sunday! Winds upward of 50+mph and thunder storms! GREAT! Please, please pray for us.

We're going to get 80 mph winds now and no power until after tonight. How fun. It's so boring. my battery is almost gone for my computer and we can't get radio here with out power. At least we have a Chi to entertain us. LOL :D
Hi Renata, It's normal to get these storms, but this is just extra strong and has been a few years since it's been so bad.
JenJen, I hope you stay dry. :!:
This is such a big storm too. JenJen and I are in the same storm, well, at least ours is from there. And it goes all the way up into Alaska as well. It's a double wammy.
I'm going to miss Club Chi today and tonight.

Thanks, Terrie, :D Our will be over Saturday  It's gone more south now and they're really getting flooded "near" the San Francisco area. Now it's just normal heavy rain and hail here with snow in the mountains. Sheba and Roman are so cuddley when the weather's cold. We sure don't mind.
How are you JenJen? 8) Windy?

I heard it's raining pretty bad in LA too. Hey CRYSTAL, how's the weather in your area?
It's drizzling but the sky's really really dark, so I'm waiting for the heavy down pour! Not windy yet, I think that's going to come later this evening. Darnit, the weather guy was right on it in jan. about the time the winds would pick up! So we'll see about today. I hope we don't blow away! LOL.
Barb, glad to hear that the storm has sort of passed your area! WHen it's windy like this in your area are there a lot of downed trees on the roadways?

JenJen, Oh that's too bad LA's getting it. I was really hoping it would miss you!!! It's almost stopped here now. We've seen quite a few trees that have been cut off the road. We're chainsaw challenged. LOL I think we're the only ones here who don't own a chainsaw, so we let everyone go first. LOL :o

Wow someone got struck by lightning here today! I hope they're okay. The storm hasn't hit us yet, but it has gotten windier. I totally forgot about the pool, so this afternoon it was so close to over flowing! LOL. But luckily I caught it in time to drain some of the water out. LOL. I hope things have settled in your area Barb.

Barb and Jen, how are things with the storm? I hate the wind because of the power lines . When my mom was living and bed ridden on air matteres we had a bad storm power went out and she started to break down and i had to send her to the hospital for a few days. :(

It hasn't quite hit us yet Sandy, thanks for asking. But you sure could've fooled me, it's super windy here!  "Duck take cover!" LOL. So it should hit Oahu (the island I live on) between 10a.m.-2p.m. We had a little power gliche a little while ago, probably from the strong winds. Sorry to hear about your mom and her mattress! Darn that electricity.

Sandy, the sun came out and Roman's basking in the window on a pile of pillows. :D It's not even raining or windy. It's like nothing even happened.
We've been watching the new nice neighbor guys move in across the street. One's a teacher at the elementary school. Poor guys got soaked during each laod and all their furniture was all wet even with tarps on the truck. So it's nice to see them get a break today. :D
Sorry your mom had to through that power outage at that time. They sure change our lives that we're used to, and then to top it off with not feeling well like your Mom.
