Thanks for the nice comments about my babies  :flower:
They are so funny to watch, whenever I throw the ball for them they always do the same thing, Nini will get there first because he is the fastest, then Busty will come along and snatch it off Nini, then Pascha strolls over and decides she wants it, Busty tries but gives up and Pascha takes it off him, then in a few minutes when Pascha doesnt want it anymore Nini picks it up and brings it back to me to throw again ..... Its the same every time, they are so predictable LOL
:D
Was it very hot out when you took those pictures? Its about 26 degrees (78 F) when the photo was taken. The days are getting cooler here now YEY

Im so sure that she knows she is a pretty girl, if she could talk i think she would say "Im pretty so pat me". She is a princess and demands to be treated like one! LOL, we always call her princess peeshe because she likes to be the boss of everyone. LOL

Thank you for the pics of you babies playing in the sun. It was 25 F here and we still have small piles of snow and ice from the last snow storm over 2 weeks ago. It just has not been warm enough for it to all melt away in the shady spots.
Thank you.

Sheesh, it was like 86 here the day before yesterday! Now what's up with that? The days are already getting longer here. Terri your grass is nice and green, which is surprising since it's summer there.

Hi Jenjen,
Yeah thats my back yard, the front yard has brown grass. I have a bore so I can water where the bore reticulation is in the back yard. We have water restrictions all year and are only allowed to water twice a week for the front yard because thats not on the bore. I love to have grass, the chi's love it too. Im sure pretty soon we will be having water restrictions for bore users.

Terri-What's a "Bore?" I'm not sure I know what that means! And for that matter, what is a "Bore Reticulation?" Just wondering! Thanks!

Your 3 are like a happy children's story, Terrie. They're always so pleasant and they have such a loving-hearted look and feeling to them. Well, all these Chis here at the club do, but yours are always such a joy to see too. It's light here until 5:58 now  But not a minute longer. LOL One hour makes a big difference.
I was thinking bore (pig) but the retric. word stumped me on that. not a "pig" boar that will mow the grass like our goat used to. LOL he he :D

Underneath the land in Australia is The Great Artesian Basin which is an underground water supply, A bore is a machine that is tapped deep into the ground and extracts the underground water. The water is not drinkable and usually used for watering gardens and agriculture farms. Here is a picture:
http://img22.photobucket.com/albums/v65/potserelli/bore.gif
Reticulation is a watering system connected to the tap that has pipes just under the ground and attatched to sprinklers, so you just turn on the tap and water comes out of the sprinklers instead of having to water by hand. Does that make sense?
Im so amused that there are words that we use everday here in Australia and asume that all other english speaking countries use the same words! Its kinda funny and Im sure there are heaps of words that you guys use everyday that I would have no idea what it means, an example is the word 'fanny' now I know from watching american TV shows that it means something else than it does here, here it means female genetalia and there it just means butt so when we hear americans saying 'fanny' we have a bit of a chuckle.

Thanks for posting this Terri. This picture's and what you wrote is so interesting about the water. We have an Artesian creek here and a local tank that 50 to 70 homes and a ranch own. (Hardly a large Basin, but a teenie creek) We actually live on an old part of the creek bed and get our water from it all year. It just happens to be above ground at the moment due to all the rain.  LOL We drink from ours, but we live very close to what's called the "cleanest river in the world." We wonder all the time if it's even properly tested and have recently decided to buy tested bottled water. now I'm interestes in how our system looks beneath the ground. :)
You know I was kidding about the bore. LOL It just struck me funny. So does fanny. hahahaha It's funny how words are different. Classmates.com has a thread with same words/different meanings from all over the world.
My Dad has some sort of under ground lawn water system for his lawn in the city. Now I have to find out what it's called! :)

Hey Terri, thanks for explaining what a bore was, and providing us with a picture too! You're the best. That's really interesting, we don't have that here, well not at our house anyway. But I know that on the Big Island they have these pool type things where it catches the rain (rains a lot in that area) and cleans it a bit and you can use it to take a bath or water your lawn, do your laundry, basically everything, but drink it. I guess it's something like what you have there, just above ground instead of below.

Here on Long Island, NY we have what is called an aquafer (spelling). It is a big deposit of underground water from the last Ice Age. Everyone gets water from there. It is pumped up and cleaned etc. and it is used for everything. In New York City they get all their water from the mountains in upstate New York. The water comes down from the mountains and is held in huge reservoirs. One of the reservoirs is in Central Park in NYC.
