Darn, it is slow!!

For christmas, Kara's son got a computer from Kara's mom. It's a compaq and they have DSL and it's soooooo slow!!! :shock:

No offense intended, but my mom had been told by some of her friends that Compaqs and Dells are...how ever do i say this...SucKy!!! :x :oops:

I thought DSL was suppose to be better than cable (that's what we got). I seriously thought that our cable wasn't as fast as it's suppose to be day-by-day until my dad picked me up from school a few days back and we went to her house and i checked the comp out for like 4 mintues and just the bottom bar (ya know where start and all that junk is) took loong to load up!

I am very LUCKY I have stuck with the Hewlett-Packard brand :twisted: :twisted: :P

Hmmmm?? I think I'll remember that if/when I decide to get a new computer. I've had this one for about 4 years now. But it's still going. LOL. Our DSL should be hooked up and ready to go by late next week. :clap: :clap:

i have 2 dell computers and mine work AWESOME......DELLS are the best computer you can own....i have alot of proof to back that up..seeing that my BF is a computer engineer.....

We need two computers now since we both always want to be on looking at things. Especially in the evenings...I used to have this all to myself, but lately he's been demanding equal time. :shock: That's his favorite time to check out classic cars and hot rods. :roll: I think Chihuahuas are just a little more important than cars!!! hehe :wink:

We're starting to look at the different brands that are offered now even though it's going to be 50 years until we get it. :roll:

Barb, check ebay...we got a brandnew dell laptop for only 500 and it works awesome...you can get really good deals on them on there...i also can have Tippy look around for you too..seeing that he knows more about computers then me and he can find you a good computer for cheap...i'll let you know

It's my mom who tells me these things about computers and I figured since I'm already 15, she wouldn't embellish things to make me believe them :roll: So..most of what she tells me, I do in-Fact believe! :twisted:

..she has a friend, and I think he lives in florida or some crap like that and he owns like 5 dells and he has always had trouble with them. there was one computer that i believe he wanted the company to give him a new one and they wouldn't so he threatened to sue them and THEN they got to workin on getting him one and it still does not work :shock:

Anyways, I love the HP comps and if I were ever to switch..I'd go with a Gateway!! :P :D

I had a hp but it was old so I bought a gateway and i really like it i bought it on line at the gateway store and they send it fast like in 3 days I applied for a payment plan with gateway on line and the payments are cheap 29.00 a month :D

I guess it all depends on the individual, and what they use it for. My computer works okay, it seems slow to me. But hey, it's what I have so that's better than nothing. LOL. I bet my computer is even slower because I haven't cleaned it up, don't really know how either. LOL. And boy have the computers come a long way from the way they used to be! :shock:
