View Full Version : Does your chi do this?

Hercules drives me nuts sometimes! What he does is act like he wants to get up on the bed and then when I get off the bed to get him, he runs off... then right when I'm laying down again, here he comes crying to get up.. then he runs off again.. This goes on sometimes for about four or five rounds.
Anyone else have a fickle chi?
Course sometimes he's a good puppy and just kind of turns around in his spot and jumps up for me to pick him up!

This wouldn't bother me so bad, if 1.. my bed wasn't so high 2. If it didn't hurt my back to bend down to get him.

HA! The puppers do that sometimes. I think maybe they just want to have a go round of play time! Alana jumps up into my arms if I bend down low enough for her, it's so cute!

My chihuahuas are fickle too but I have an easy solution for you-build a bed closer to the ground that they can jump on all by themselves like we did, LOL!!! Otherwise, you could try putting a stool, bench, or ottoman by the bed like we used to so that he can jump in and out of bed all by himself...H&T like to be able to do that and go between their doggy beds and our bed throughout the night and that way can get down for a drink of water, etc. whenever they want...

Taco is the worst about this. He gets to the edge whines and cries, then runs under the bed when I try to get him....What a little tease!! He is so quick, that I finally stacked pillows up and let him jump up by himself.
I need to get a little stool for them. When I put them on the bed they think it is play time so they go CRAZY and start having wrestle mania on top of me!!! :blob2:
Finally I say "It's NIGHT NIGHT TIME!!!" Raise the covers and they go under to snuggle.

It's so neat to hear everyone's story about this. Casey has this annoying habit of crying and then backing up slightly so I can't pick her up.
She will take a step forward onto my hand then I hold her under the ribs and lift her up. But if my hands are cold or I nick her with my pinky ring she is set back for days.
Lately I've been thinking about getting a stool for her but I'm scared i will pile it with stuff. I'm kinda bad that way..

OMG.. Sounds like each one of us have the exact same problem! I do need to get a stool, but I'm afraid I'll trip over it or my husband will, he's always getting up in the middle of the night.
