HEUSER AND TALLY FINALLY SLEEP TOGETHER!!!
I've been crating them together for short car rides because it is so cold here and they stay warmer when they are in one together and it seems that it may have helped them get over their space issue of being too close! We have two little oval beds up on the sofa table for them to sleep in and today, I turned around and they were trying to squeeze into just one of them (they are barely big enough for one let alone two)!!! I took them down and put the larger, rectangle crate pad that Jenjen got them for christmas, put in their sheep wool crate pads and their blankie behind it (they lay against an outer wall that gets pretty chilly) and they LOVE it, I mean LOVE it!
So here they are, two peas in a pod-finally lovin each other-this is a VERY big day in our house!!!
LOL,
Alyssa

Hmmm...That depends. Heuser's breeder Kim is going to evalute him for me and tell me what she thinks about using him as my foundation stud. Since she bred him and knows all his faults and is really experienced with the breed, she will be able to tell me if they are all that serious or not in regards to starting my program with the healthiest foundation as possible. Otherwise, I will breed Tally to Heuser's grandfather, Solo who you can see two pictures of in the thread "Heuser's family." (if I can afford the stud fee that is, he is an amazing dog and his breeder is VERY particular to whom she breeds him with-he won our national specialty in 1996 and was invited (but declined) to show at the Westminster Dog Show in 1997 & 1998!!!)

Your event made my day. They look so snugged up with their little noses pressed into their little beds. Side by side by side. Equal. They will be fast freinds for a long and happy time.
Thank goodness you got a pic. :)

Hehehe!
Well, it lasted all afternoon but they must get crabby at night cause they are being pissy with each other now about space so I put their individual beds back up-don't want to force them to lay together so we'll take our time, LOL!

THAT'S awesome......you are young so you can really take the time of breeding wonderful healthy Chi's! I have a friend who has been working with her line for many many years...she started with her foundation bitch when she was only 17 and now ...ummm...well...lets just say she's 40-something....her dogs are to die for...just awesome. I bet you even know her. But I don't want to give you details without her permission
THAT IS SO GREAT!!!!!! Those pics are CLASSICS!!!!! You need to frame those Lys!!! That made my day, thank you for shraring this eventful moment!!!

Aww! I love how they're lying the same way. This is encouraging to me to see how fast your two babies have warmed up to each other. Heuser and Tally look very comfortable with each other here. Thanks for sharing these! Barb

Awww they are so cute together!
and they are laying the exact same way, they look like they were meant for each other.
It would be so exciting if you got to breed Tally and Heuser. They would make the cutest puppies.

I know how excited you are. When we first brought Taco home, Toby wasn't liking the idea of another chi in "his space". The first time they snuggled up together I almost cried!!! Toby still has spells where he doesn't want Toby near him. I started crating them in seperate crates again. Toby is possesive over his crate and gets real p*ssed off whenever Taco gets in it with him! Heuser and Tally are quite the couple! I see LOVE in the future.......hehehehe

Oh, now you have me curious!!! That is awesome that she has been involved with chis so long! I love to see what each long-time breeders interpretation of the standard looks like-each line has it own unique traits and little personality characteristics! Please? Just a little hint? Like one of her better-known dog's names? Or a kennel name? I'm sure she won't mind as long as you don't give her name and address or whatever...Or you could ask her if its alright to share her info with me! I am always interested to meet chi breeders! Now I'm going to stew on this all day wondering who it is! Hehehehe!!

I can't wait (I'm sure you can't either!) for Bailey (sp?) to come home!!! I bet him and Roman take up like old friends in NO time!!! And maybe he will remind Sheba of a little Roman and she will love him too!!!
LOL,
Lys
